This is David Unkovich’s site. You can find more about him and his maps and touring services on our FAQ page or his web site listed above. He’s the most knowledgeable person about motorcycle touring in northern Thailand and Laos. Rent our BMW touring motorcycle, and let David be your tour guide. These are links to different parts of our neighborhood, Chiang Mai, and Thailand that we found interesting and thought you might find interesting, too. Many of these sites are close to our B&B. Others are further away. But we found all of them interesting, and thought you might enjoy them, too. |

As you can see from their elaborate web site, eXtreme Sports, which is a company out of New Zealand, is a big operation, but don’t let that scare you. It’s what they have down the road from us in Chiang Mai that we wanted to show you and it’s a very friendly place. Their bar/restaurant is great. We drive over on our motorcycle and eat there a lot. Ian and his wife are gracious and friendly hosts. He’s from New Zealand, and she’s from Thailand, so they know both western and Thai food. You can find great burgers, and also great Thai food. Then go next door and Bungy Jump, climb, trek, or rent one of their 4X4’s. Actually, maybe you should do the Bungy jump first, before you eat. But either way, it’s more than a full day’s worth of fun.
There is also a shooting range (separately owned) almost next door where you can try real rifles, handguns, and shotguns. The Smith & Wesson .45 is my favorite, but they have lots of others. Non-shooters can sit at tables in the back, watch the shooters, and have beer or soft drinks. This is a fun area, any way you look at it.
