The Best Bed & Breakfast in Chiang Mai? 

We are in the process of opening a MasterCard and Visa merchant account.  Once that is in place, we will be able to accept credit cards.  Until then, payment will need to be made by money order, wire transfer, ATM transfer, or electronic check.  Electronic check is where our bank takes the money from your bank. 

 

A deposit of $100 USD will secure most reservations.  After that, until we are able to take credit cards, each week will need to be paid in advance in cash, or equivalent.  Talk with us.  We’ll work it out.

A Few Thoughts About Price: 

 

Let’s be honest. If you shop around for B&B’s in Thailand, you’ll probably find some for less than $100 per night.  So why do we say our B&B is a bargain? 

 

Well, most people have heard the saying, “You get what you pay for”.  Actually, it would probably be more accurate to say that if you pay a fair price, then most of the time you have a reasonably good chance of getting a quality product or service.  If, on the other hand, you try to find a bargain, then most of the time, one way or another, you will end up with a product or service that is inferior or lacking in some way.

 

In Thailand, we are blessed with prices which sometimes seem low to people from other parts of the world.  When it comes to lodging, though, the prices usually match the accommodations.  True, you can find “bargain” B&B’s for less.  And for people traveling on a tight budget, a bargain B&B might be the best way to go.   But if the room is small, stuffy, and dark, and if the bed sags and maybe doesn’t smell quite right, and if the breakfast is less than wonderful, it could kind of make your trip a little less enjoyable.     

 

Why take that chance?  Our B&B is larger, brighter, cleaner, and more comfortable than most 4 and 5 star hotels.  Our house is new and really nice.  And so is our very large guest bedroom.  Take a look at those pictures again.  They’re not retouched or doctored in any way.  In fact, it’s so pleasant here, and there are so many enjoyable things to do, that you might find yourself putting off touring and just spending more time right here, with us, relaxing.  Did we mention that our DVD movie library includes over 100 films?  And that our paperback library is large, too?   

 

So if you want to shop for bargains, or need to shop for them, that’s your choice.  We wish you well and hope you find a good place.  But a trip to South East Asia is already a significant and usually expensive undertaking.  Why not spend a few dollars more for your accommodations and stay with us at a place you’ll really enjoy?
